Wende Bridge has a long history which could traced back to the Six Dynasties. It was a floating bridge at that time. In 1585 A.D., it was replaced by a wood on bridge with stone piers. |

later the bridge was rebuilt to be a concrete
one. Wende Bridge gained its name from the say
"Culture and Achievements rule the state.
Since Wende Bridge locates on a meridian line, a
wonderful view of a half moon by either side of
it can be seen at midnight on November 15th
every lunar year when the bridge moon hangs in
the sky. And this was known as "Qinhuai
Divided Moon", In 1998 ,the people
government of Qinhuai District rebuilt the
conerete bridge to be a granice one.
